Volunteer Opportunity: Help Children Grow in Faith with the Himbaza Initiative
Do you love children and want to help them grow in faith? Join the Himbaza Initiative, a ministry of Gate of Hope Ministries International, and be part of a movement that empowers East African refugee children and families in Louisville.
The Himbaza Initiative equips local refugee churches to fully include children in worship, prayer, and learning. Through Bible storytelling, music, literacy, and creative arts, children experience faith in action while building confidence, connection, and cultural understanding.
Volunteers are at the heart of this ministry. Whether you love to teach, create, or simply lend a helping hand, there’s a place for you!
Volunteer Roles:
- Lead Volunteers: Help facilitate sessions in Bible storytelling, music, literacy, or creative arts. Perfect for those with experience in teaching, ministry, or youth leadership.
- Support Volunteers: Assist with setup, child engagement, and activities—no teaching required. Just bring your heart and willingness to serve!
Together, we’re building bridges across cultures and generations—fostering spiritual growth, stronger families, and a thriving community of faith.
